Position:
Network Administrator / Senior Help Desk Technician
 
Responsibilities:
  • Answer incoming calls to the support line
  • Help customers troubleshoot issues with the PCs and peripheral devices
  • Log trouble tickets and escalate issues as needed
  • Provide back end support in a wide array of areas from configuring PCs to configuring and management of servers and firewalls
  • Limited travel in the area and after hours work may be required from time to time
  • Provide senior support to other team members
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of TCP\IP networking and DNS
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows XP Pro
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office - particularly Outlook
  • Excellent troubleshooting / problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
  • Strong work ethic and ablility to contribute to the growth of a small company
  • 3+ years experience working in a business/corporate IT environment
Optional:
  • Microsoft Certification
  • Cisco Certification
  • Linux experience
Location: Vienna, VA
 
Summary:
This position will be helping users solve any IT problems that they encounter.  These problems vary greatly, but are typically related to Windows, Windows Networking, and Microsoft Office.  The person who fills this position will be a person who enjoys working with people and solving problems.  The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving problems and learning new skills.  This position will provide great opportunity for the candidate to learn different skill sets and provide input to a growing company.  The candidate will be able to see the direct impact of their actions and grow as the company grows.
